A true story

An Australian electrician went to a property to repair a stove and rewire the elements.

On completion, he did not provide the customer with a Certificate of Electrical Safety certifying his work as required by the Electrical Safety Authority.

Also, he did not make a record of exactly what work he carried out.

Sometime later.

To stop the meter from registering the correct usage, it is suspected that the tenant living at the property tampered with the wiring in the meter board.

The polarity of the neutral and active conductor were reversed, which livened up all bonding points, including the water taps.

The young girl living at the property, touched an outdoor water tap and was electrocuted suffering severe brain damage, her quality of life was reduced.

An electrical safety officer investigated the incident, with the electrician being charged.

It was ruled he was the last contractor to carry out electrical work on the property and without evidence that the tenant had tampered with the wiring he was left to defend his position.

Unfortunately, the contractor could not prove what work he performed, or that he had not touch the meter.

The electrician lost his licence and was never allowed to return to the industry.

Don't let this happen to you!

It is not just about the Certificate. It is having evidence of what work was carried out, even ten years later.

TrackIT-Log Electrical Certification will produce a certificate in minutes that clearly describes the work performed.

Add photos and use the unique hidden QR / Barcode method for evidence.

Every certificate includes if there was work performed on the meter.

Alternatively the licenced person is forced to tick, no work on the meter.

It is not left to chance.

TrackIT-Log Electrical Certification will help contractors to avoid litigation.
